The competition at the Pikes Peak Celtic Festival is a Western United States Pipe Band Association sanctioned competition. All bands of Grades 3, 4, & 5 along with a selection of solo competition are both invited and authorized to compete. The rules of competition are those which are stated by the WUSPBA. ***Please note that the band must appear in both massed band noon day ceremonies to qualify for both Prize and Travel monies. Travel money is calculated from the bands most regular practice site to the festival field. Prize money is only awarded when more than one band is competition in the same competition. If only two bands compete than only first place prize money will be awarded. If three bands compete than only first and second place prize money will be awarded. If four or more bands compete than first, second, and third place prize money will be awarded.
